Cast Lapel Pins
Excellent lapel pins are produced by being cast in genuine pewter. They may be finished as pewter or plated in gold, silver, or bronze tones. Each may be finished in one of a variety of polished or antiqued effects. Cast pieces may also be bright cut and/or have colors added to enhance their look. Multiple colors are often used.
Cast pins allow for more complex shapes than would be affordable in a die - from simple two dimension pins (essentially “line drawings”) to more complex 3-D fully sculpted pieces.
Shown: The Old Dominion pin has incised design elements which have been blackened, and the UMF pin has an epoxy fill. The middle 2-D pins, have been polished, plated, and color filled. The bottom 2-D pieces are more detailed cutout models.
